The Dance Dance Re-VOLT-ution project was the second project we did this year. For this project we were required to construct a DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) mat. We had to create a working circuit and copy it over four times because we had four mats. We had to desgin the shape of the mat, and stepping thingies but we had to cautious of the bulb. The materials we needed for this project were; *4 Light Bulbs & Holders *Cardboard (A LOT) *Tape *Wires (Various Amount For Different Groups) *Alligator Clips ("") *Aluminum Foil *Toilet Paper Rolls or Paper Towel Roll *8 Batteries & Holders
A simple circuit works by being powered by (a) battery (ies). Obviously it has to have an equal positive and negative energy to work properly. You have to connect a wire to the positive side and another to the negative side. After you connect those together, while you still have the wires connected to the battery connect the free end to the bulb. Depending on what kind of bulb you have you have to kind of figure out where it work, the most common place will be the bottom or even the side of the bulb's silver part. Insulators and conductors. Insulators stop the working circuit, for example, dollar bills, paper, erasers, and etc. Conductors help the circuit, for instance, coins paper clips, metal, and etc. With the materials that are written way above with the bullet points, are all of what we used to create a dance pad. You know that your circuit was a working circuit and it was correct if when you stepped on it, it lit up.
The Space Monkey Mafia
For this project I was in a group of four males. The teacher we got to dance with our mat was Jill, our Humanities and History teacher. Our dance pad work when it wanted to. It worked while used it, sometimes. The audience and the judges were so amazed with our choreography that they titled us "Best Choreographed/Rehearsed". **Click the link below to view our teacher dancing with our hand made Dance Dance Re-VOLT-ution mat.
