For the group portion of this movement, we brainstormed both popular and unpopular stereotypes that we need to break free from. The group that I joined was "Self-Image". I chose this to be apart of this team because this is something that I struggled with personally and found my confidence in, which made me passionate about helping others find their beauty within.
Our video focused on a specific social media app, Instagram. We know that many people are struggling with being confident in themselves by comparing themselves to others and critiquing themselves very hard. We wanted to help break that notion.
The first thing we did was drafted up a proposal for our video:
Second, we made a presentation to physically propose our idea to our class. Instead of a traditional power point, we came up with the idea to make an Instagram account and present it from there.
After getting constructive feedback from our peers we started on a storyboard. The storyboard helped guide us in what we wanted our shots to look like when we filmed and in what order.
Lastly, we filmed each box and edited it in Final Cut Pro X.
